This is a ring I made for a customer that replicates the actual bark from a Birch tree.  
I got some bark from a Birch tree and made a mold of it in sume clay.  After the impression dried completely I took Precious Metal Clay,a material that is the consistency of molding clay, and rolled and cut out a long enough piece for her ring size.  I then wrapped it around a size blank and let it dry fully.  The ring was fired in a kiln and antique to bring out the texture.

Here is a Rutilated Quartz ring that I made for myself.  I really love this stone.  If you look closely you can see the tiny little fibers of Rutile.  It is a large ring, so I wear on my right hand middle finger.  I make a lot of rings for the middle finger.  One ring is all you need.

Now this was a challenge!  I had to come up with ten different ways to make a bangle.  I twisted and wove and smashed and hammered.  Any thing I could think of.  They really turned out great though.  So fun!
