Learn the the fine art of Filigree. You will learn to make fine silver filigree wire the way it has been done for hundreds of years and using an antique hand drill. Also, depending on the length of the workshop, I will show you several different techniques including open back and closed back pieces, how to make a filigree ring with or without stones and incorporating your filigree into bracelets and necklaces.

Cloisonne enameling is technique requiring many steps. You will learn how to prepare the metal for the enameling process, counter enamel, set in the cloisonne wires, and apply beautiful transparent colors to achieve your design. The process requires several hours to complete.

Workshop - Silversmthing

We will spend the day creating your very own hand made pendant in sterling silver. You will learn techniques like piercing, texturing, stone setting, soldering and polishing! No previous experience is required. I will walk you through each step. Depending upon the length of the workshop, I can teach you how to make rings, bracelets and pendants. Or if you have something that has been on your mind we can make that. No previous experience is necessary. I will walk you through each step.

54th Annual Art Fiesta, at the Pavillions in Sacramento
54th Annual “Art Fiesta” sponsored by the Sacramento Kiwanis Club is one of the oldest shows west of the Mississippi.
It will be held June 1 and 2 at Pavillions shopping center located in suburban Sacramento.
We invite you to celebrate with us at the Art Fiesta. This family friendly event attracts thousands of art lovers from across our region and serves as the main fundraising event for the Sacramento Suburban Kiwanis.

August 3 & 4, 2013 - 42nd Annual Almanor Art Show, Chester, California
GREAT ART, MUSIC & MORE IN A BEAUTIFUL SETTING
The 44th annual Almanor Art Show takes place August 3rd & 4th on the beautiful Collins Pine Lawn right on highway 36 in Chester. Ongoing since 1969, this is Plumas County's most tenured art show, providing one of the best collections and exhibitions of visual arts and fine crafts in several counties. More than 80 artists will grace the show with their original painting, drawings, photographs, jewelry, pottery, furniture, sculptures, wood, metal, fabric and whimsical art in a full range of prices.

September 13 & 14, 2013 - American River Music Festival, Lotus, California
This is a great venue to see some wonderful musical acts, relax and get some shopping done. The 6th Annual American River Music Festival is a celebration of music and moving water. The festival is on the banks of the beautiful South Fork of the American River in the friendly community of Coloma one-hour east of Sacramento in the gold country of Northern California Music performances and workshops take place at the riverfront Main Stage, there are three riverfront Campgrounds, a guided riverfront Hike, whitewater River Trip, and Hot Spots throughout Coloma.

November 29 & 30, December 1, 2013 - 29th Annual Country Christmas Faire, Nevada County Fairgrounds, Grass Valley
29th annual Country Christmas Faire November 29, 30, and December 1, 2013. Rated as one of the top handcrafted shows in Northern California, the Country Christmas Faire features unique gifts and crafts from top artisans from across the state.
Exhibit buildings will be filled during the Thanksgiving weekend, giving shoppers a chance to start their holiday shopping with quality hand-made holiday items, ornaments, jewelry, wooden crafts, soaps and lotions, hand-woven baskets, stained glass, candles, beadwork, and dozens of other unique gifts.
Visitors to the Faire will enjoy strolling live entertainment, festival foods, the magical Gingerbread House exhibit, Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus, errand elves, and a community bon-fire. Wagon rides around the Fairgrounds will be offered; and Victorian singers, the bell ringing RiverBells, and the Sierra Symphony quartet will perform throughout the event.
